Use Assindo in Claude Code (Add the Assindo MCP Server)

Claude Code lives in your terminal and gets things done: it reads, writes, runs and fixes. What it cannot do on its own is make a phone call and talk to a person. Assindo can. Assindo is an AI phone assistant: it calls businesses for you, works through phone menus, waits on hold, talks to whoever answers, and writes up what they said. Add Assindo to Claude Code as a remote MCP server and you can hand off a call without leaving the terminal.

What You Need

Step 1: Add the server

claude mcp add --transport http assindo https://mcp.assindo.com/mcp

That adds Assindo for you in the current project (the local scope). To have it in every project, add --scope user:

claude mcp add --transport http --scope user assindo https://mcp.assindo.com/mcp

Step 2: Sign in

In Claude Code, run /mcp, choose assindo, and follow the steps in your browser to log in. The Assindo sign-in page appears: sign in with Google, Apple or email, the same login as the Assindo app.

Let Assindo answer your calls and make them for you.

Get Assindo

From the shell you can do the same with:

claude mcp login assindo

Assindo supports dynamic client registration, so there is no client ID or secret: Claude Code registers itself and catches the sign-in on a local port. The sign-in page says you will go back to "a desktop app on this device", which is expected for a terminal app.

Step 3: Ask for the call

Troubleshooting

The browser did not open

Copy the URL Claude Code prints and open it yourself. Over SSH or without a local browser, claude mcp login assindo prints the authorization URL instead; add --no-browser to force that.

The browser says it cannot connect after I signed in

That is the redirect back to Claude Code's local port failing. Paste the full callback URL from your browser's address bar into the URL prompt that appears in Claude Code.

The sign-in keeps coming back

A call did not happen

Calls follow the same rules as the app: business hours only, no redialing someone who just declined, and your Assindo plan's minutes. If your plan has run out of minutes, the task result says so; check your plan in the Assindo app. Claude Code's own usage limits come from your Claude plan.

FAQs

Does Claude Code dial the number itself?

No. It hands the job to Assindo as a task, and Assindo's own assistant places the call with the same rules as the app.

I already added Assindo in Claude on the web. Do I need this?

The connector you add in Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop and the mobile apps) is set up in Claude's settings: see Make Phone Calls from Claude with Assindo. This guide is for adding the server to Claude Code with claude mcp add.

Does it cost extra?

No. Calls and tasks count against your normal Assindo plan.

Does Assindo work with other AI apps?

Yes: see the list of AI apps that work with Assindo. Assindo is also listed in the official MCP Registry as com.assindo/assindo.
